Gallery: Vanishing Societies
This strong environmental series is comprised of gouaches on rag board and acrylics on canvas. There are twenty-six paintings in the series and they were done between 1991 and the present. They were in two solo shows, one at the Michael Himovitz Gallery, Sacramento, one at the Sun Gallery, Hayward, and shown in part at the Jernigan Wicker Gallery, San Francisco, during which my works were featured in the Independent Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, and Contra Costa Times. Portions of the series also showed at the Koret Gallery, Palo Alto; the Euphrat Museum, De Anza College, Cupertino, in conjunction with the Sunnvale Art Center, Sunnyvale; and the New Works by California Artists section at the Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara, with coverage in the San Jose Mercury News.
